Felicia Johnson began writing when she was six years old. Writing has been her saving grace and she is an avid advocate of journaling.
Using her own moving story of her survival from child abuse, homelessness as a teenager, and overcoming self-harm and depression, as well as her education in Psychology, Felicia raises awareness about mental health, self-harm, and abuse. She also promotes prevention of suicide by advocating for youth and friends and families of survivors.
Felicia is an active youth mentor at Youth Villages Inner Harbour and has been a volunteer with the Personality Disorder Awareness Network (PDAN). Felicia is an avid reader and encourages aspiring writers to journal at least once a day. A few of her favorite things are ice cream, learning new languages, experiencing different cultures, and seeing her little sister, Laura, smile. Her close friends call her “Fee”. Actually, she prefers to be called by her nickname.
Felicia Johnson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She currently lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and best friend, Comedian Dee Marshall and their kitten named Eren Jaegar.
